Experience
I graduated from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor with a bachelor's degree in Political Science, focusing on American Politics. I then went on to graduate from Oakland University with a master's degree in Public Administration. Following that, I began working as consultant in several healthcare positions. It is this experience that has provided the practical examples of putting education to work that benefit my students. I discovered my passion for tutoring and teaching when working as a substitute for an extended period of time, and I have also tutored private students in the Detroit metro-region. I believe that patience is a great asset for a teacher when working with students who are struggling in a subject or in the general academic environment. That is why I prefer to move slowly if that is the student's natural pace, paying the most attention to the end result, no matter how long the journey takes. I tutor the subjects of Writing, Math, and Social Studies at most levels. I know that there is power in learning, and I enjoy helping my students to reach their goals and become successful. I strive to give them the tools they need to obtain the education that gets them there.For leisure, I like to play sports, coach, read, and blog.
